Most solar companies stop at the rooftop. BandB Green Energy Solutions starts a step earlier — by understanding how a building actually uses power before recommending how to generate it. That difference is what turns a solar installer into an energy partner.
Over more than fourteen years, the company has built a reputation in renewable energy that goes well past installation. Alongside thousands of off-grid solar systems, BandB has developed deep capability in energy auditing, energy management, and cost optimization for commercial and institutional clients — the kind of work that finds savings hiding in plain sight.
An energy audit is essentially a health check for a building's power and fuel use. Instead of guessing where money is leaking, BandB's engineers measure it: tracking how much electricity each system draws, when demand peaks, and which routines quietly inflate the monthly bill. That evidence turns vague intentions to "save energy" into a concrete, prioritised plan — one where every recommendation can be tied back to a rupee figure. For commercial and institutional clients running large, complex facilities, that clarity is often worth far more than the audit itself.
↳ Case study: SSVM School, Mettupalayam
The clearest proof of that capability is the work done for SSVM School in Mettupalayam. Under the leadership of Managing Director C A Biju, BandB carried out a comprehensive energy audit and optimization program across the campus — not a quick walkthrough, but a detailed, site-wide study of how the institution consumed electricity and fuel every day.
When BandB arrived, the numbers were sobering. The school was spending around ₹5 lakh a month on electricity and a further ₹7.5 lakh a month on diesel. A 100 kW solar system installed by another company back in 2020 had been left without service and was generating only about half its rated capacity. With a sanctioned load of 112 kW but a real working demand above 150 kW, the campus risked penalties from the electricity board whenever it crossed the limit — so it ran a diesel generator to bridge the gap, burning roughly ₹25,000 of fuel every single day.
The audit also uncovered a hidden drain in the hostel. Around 25,000 litres of solar water heating had been wired to electric heating coils — a 25 kW load pulling about 25 units an hour, or close to ₹250 every hour it ran.
What BandB did
- 1Rectified the neglected 100 kW system and installed a new 150 kW on-grid solar plant, restoring full generation and ending the reliance on the diesel generator.
- 2Replaced every electric heating coil with 20 heat pumps (23 kW each), cutting hot-water consumption from about 25 units an hour down to just 5.
- 3Brought daily energy spend under control, eliminating the electricity-board penalties and the daily diesel bill alike.
The combined effect was dramatic. Between the diesel that was no longer needed and the grid electricity that was saved, the campus stopped spending roughly ₹40,000 a day.
Before
- ₹25,000 / dayDiesel to cover the load gap
- ₹15,000 / dayGrid electricity penalties & usage
- ~50%Output from the neglected 100 kW system
After
- 150 kWNew on-grid solar, fully generating
- 5 units/hrHot water, down from 25 with heat pumps
- ~6 monthsPayback on the whole investment
This was not a projection. The savings are measured, the diesel generator is silent, and the investment paid for itself within roughly six months — a result that shows what scientific energy management and customized engineering deliver when they're applied to the right problem.

The principle behind the SSVM project applies to almost any organisation with a sizeable energy bill — schools, hospitals, hotels, factories and offices alike. Wasted energy rarely announces itself; it accumulates through ageing equipment, inefficient operating habits and systems left running when they needn't be. A rigorous audit makes that waste visible and, more importantly, fixable. Pairing those efficiency gains with solar or hybrid generation then compounds the benefit: you first reduce how much energy you need, and only then invest in producing it cleanly. That sequencing is exactly why BandB positions itself as an energy partner rather than a panel supplier — the savings are engineered, not assumed.
↳ Why customers choose BandB
The SSVM project sits within a much wider track record. These are the credentials clients point to when they choose BandB as a long-term energy partner rather than a one-time vendor.
That list also reflects genuine depth in hybrid and battery-based solar systems, proven expertise in energy audits and cost reduction, and a long-term commitment to after-sales service that keeps customers coming back — and referring others.
